General
Safety:
| Emergency
drills (evacuation, lock down and tornado) will each be practiced
at least once per semester. These drills will be referred
to by the staff as E1, F2, L3 and T4 meaning evacuation, fire,
lockdown and tornado respectively. This is done to minimize
the fear that children may associate with some of these words.
Diagrams displaying emergency exit routes will be displayed
inside each classroom. Staff members will be able to communicate
with each other throughout the day with radios.
Students who
have food or other allergies will have a listing of their allergies
inside their classrooms at all times. It will be the director’s
responsibility to notify a new employee or substitute teacher
of a student’s allergies in the absence of that student’s regular
teacher.
Preschool staff
members will maintain current CPR/first aid certificates of
course completion. |
Grievance
Procedures:
| Staff members may file any grievance
first with the director. If a satisfactory result cannot
be resolved, the employee may then request arbitration with the
director, the Preschool Committee, and the Pastor of Westview
United Methodist Church. |
Grounds
for Termination:
- Staff members should refrain from committing
any infraction of rules and regulations listed in parent handbook
or from failing to meet stated expectations and responsibilities.
All teachers will receive a written notice of any infraction

be grounds for termination.
- All offenses that are considered grounds
